Recreational Pursuits

If your school's objectives for an outing at Shekinah are primarily recreational, the following suggestions are for you to consider:

 (a) The Wilderness Experience
Consider what it would be like to set up and live in a tipi in spring or fall or build a quinzhee or igloo for a winter overnighter. Possibly skiing our groomed trails or toboganning down Quill Hill is what you had in mind.

(b) Canoeing Try a 2.5 hour trip from Petrofka Bridge to Shekinah or a longer 4-5 hour trip from Shekinah to Fort Carlton.

(c) Orienteering Learn the skills of staying found; either map and compass or only map or only compass orienteering.

curler 2(d) Climbing Learn the basics of mountain climbing on Shekinah's newly renovated three-level Jericho Wall.
