Shekinah has trails to keep hikers of all skill levels satisfied. Whether you want a short stroll to the tower overlooking the river, or a steep climb up to some spectacular lookout points, we have something for you. Travel the trails on your own or have a Shekinah guide come with you to tell stories from Shekinah’s past and point out interesting tidbits of natural history.

Hiking the trails at Shekinah provides an excellent opportunity to observe animals in their natural habitat, admire over 200 species of wildflowers of all colours, and stand awestruck at the brilliance of the living prairie sky. The most popular route for school groups is the Ravine trail short loop which takes about 45 minutes and includes the famous cinder block steps! The Shekinah Program Director will be able to point out hiking routes suitable for the needs and interests of your school group.
