Winter time is a great season for taking care of yourself!
Treat yourself to a winter getaway only 40 minutes from Saskatoon!
What might this weekend include?
Whether you seek connection with others or crave solitary moments, Shekinah’s 287 acres, featuring forest trails and open meadows, provide a unique setting for rejuvenation.
Guided activities, both indoors and outdoors, such as social gatherings, interpretive walks, fitness and yoga sessions, and evening campfires, await you. With the arrival of snow, the excitement of tubing adds an extra touch of adventure.
The TimberLodge is an amazing building in which to stay, with large windows overlooking the river valley and easy access to our skating pond and several trails.

While this schedule is subject to change, it can give you idea of some of the activities we have planned!
Friday:
Arrive any time after 4pm to check-in, enjoy the space and get settled before dinner.
Evening may include socializing, stargazing, guided meditation, board games.
Saturday:
Begin the day with optional morning yoga before 8:30am breakfast. A guided hike/ snowshoe will be offered during the morning.
After lunch, your afternoon may include relaxing by the fireplace, ice skating, reading, broomball, writing, visiting, tubing, snow angels and/or wandering outside…
Choose to participate in a fitness session with a certified fitness leader and have time for a shower before dinner!
The evening will feature a campfire. If s’mores fit your definition of wellness, they can be an option too!
Sunday:
Depending on interest, another morning yoga or meditation session can be offered before breakfast. The morning is yours to fit in what you have so far missed.
Enjoy a group activity with the group before enjoying lunch, and make your way home as you’re ready in the afternoon.
Acupuncture sessions are available for an additional fee.

Please bring your own bedding and towels. The majority of beds are singles. (If needed, we can provide bedding for a small fee.)
Bring clothing that you will be comfortable in for indoor activity - eg. yoga clothing, workout clothes, indoor runners, pyjamas, slippers.
If you have a yoga/ exercise mat, bring it along as it will give you more choices! If you don’t own one and can’t find one to borrow, we can create options for you that don’t involve being on the floor.
If you plan to head outside, bring your snow clothes! We can provide snowshoes, tubes and broomball equipment. You are welcome to bring your own skates, cross-country skis or anything else you would like to use for exploring.

Our bedrooms all have multiple beds in them and are designed to be shared.
When you visit our booking page, https://www.cognitoforms.com/shekinahretreatcentre/winterrefresh24jan2628, you have the option to identify your own roommate (for a small discount).
If you are booking on your own, we may match you with a roommate or you may end up with your own room. If you have any specific accommodation needs, please let us know!
